aMetro released!

The new version is available for download from Google Play or from this site.
The program has been completely rewritten from the scratch, not all the features from the previous versions are available in the new one. In particular, it supports devices with Android OS since 4.x. For users of older phones published separately old application called aMetro One.

New features:
  • Automatic update maps to update them on the project's website pMetro.
  • Viewing schemes stations and crossings in the maps where they are.

aMetro 2 alpha is available for download.

A new version of aMetro 2, with:
  • An updated UI
  • Selection the station by clicking on the map
  • Viewing stations schemes.
  • Authomated maps syncronization service (so now you do not have to wait until someone of the projects' authors downloads updated maps from, converts to the aMetro format and publish it)
Schemes stations are taken from the project

Maps updated

Maps catalog was updated - last changes from pMetro site was uploaded.

To update your maps go to map lists in aMetro application, open tab "Online" and press Menu - Refresh, then open tab "My maps" and press Menu - Update.


Minsk: tram map updated.


São Paulo: added yellow line, added 3 new stations on green line.


Chongqing: map entirely rewrite.
Dalian: added 6 new stations, map entirely rewrite.
Shenyang: added 4 new stations.
Shenzhen: added 3 new stations and 2 new lines.
Tianjin: map entirely rewrite.
Wuhan: added 15 new stations, map entirely rewrite.
Canton: добавлены новые станции и линии, map entirely rewrite.
Nanjing: added 2 new metro lines, added 15 new stations.


Manila: added orange metro line, added few stations on yellow line.


Kazan: added new station "Kozya Sloboda".
Moscow: station "Park Kultury" on line "Koltcevaya" closed on reconstruction, station renamed from "Vostryakovo" to "Skolkovo".
St.Petersburg: opened station "Obvodnoy kanal".


Tashkent: station renamed from "Xalqlar Do'stligi" to "Bunyodkor"..

Maps updated

Maps of those cities were updated:
  • Moscow: opened transfer on Belorusskaya station.
  • Kiev: added three new stations: "Demeevskaya", "Goloseevskaya", "Vasilkovskaya".
  • Kharkov: added new station "Alekseevskaya".
  • Athenes: added new under-construction stations.
  • Tashkent: station "Sobir Rahimov" renamed to "Olmazor".
If you configured check for updates and auto-update of the maps, wait for it, or update the online catalog from the menu manually and apply the updated maps.

Pinch-To-Zoom (Multitouch)

After a long time we finally implemented the long-awaited feature to scale maps with pinch-to-zoom gesture (multitouch). Try the new features right now: download or update application from the Android Market.

Update available with features:
  • Multitouch zooming.
  • Double tap zooming.
  • Zooming using volume controls.
  • Move application to SD supported.
  • Trackball scrolling speed setting.
  • Added resources for WVGA/QVGA screens.
  • Find and Autocomplete take into consideration with diacritics and ligatures.
  • Redesigned main screen in route mode.
  • Option to hide zoom controls (if you use only multitouch).

Maps of Ekaterinburg and Novosibirsk were updated.

Find the nearest station now works in Ekaterinburg - thanks to Grigory Parshikov, who gathered data from Google Maps and converted into aMetro GPS format.

Novosibirsk now up to date, new station Zolotaya Niva was added.

Map of Vienna U-Bahn updated.

Brussels Metro. Redesigned and Updated map + GPS

We completely redesigned map of the Brussels Metro. Now it is up to date (Wikipedia), added 2 lines of the tram and GPS-coordinates of the metro stations. Now "Where am I?" function is available in Brussels.

If you configured check for updates and auto-update of the maps, wait for it, or update the online catalog from the menu manually and apply the updated maps.

French localization

We have added a French localization in version 1.0.8  (just program, not maps). Laurent, Merci beaucoup for the translation!

Thanks to our user Alex, who gathered location information for London tube stations. You need to download latest version of the map to use this feature.
